چکیده
Abstract An integrally skinned organic solvent-resistant membrane with asymmetric structure for solvent nanofiltration (OSN) application was developed via thermally induced phase separation (TIPS) of nanocomposite polyamide 6. The 6 contains intercalated silicate sheets, which could improve the mechanical properties resultant membrane, as well mitigate swelling after exposure in solvent. influence composition hollow fiber and subsequent thermal annealing investigated this study. Crystallinity data revealed that crystal formed during TIPS process primarily ?-phase type, but use polymer initiated formation ?-type crystalline structure. Thermal at 120 °C also found to even promote a higher overall crystallinity membranes. membranes were subjected OSN operation methanol (MeOH) cyanocobalamin (vitamin B12) solute. sheets brought about dense outer surface sublayer formation, resulting stability MeOH; however, purely suffered from very low permeance, due sublayer. whose is 50% exhibited MeOH permeance 0.1 L m?2 h?1 bar?1 vitamin B12 rejection over 99.0%. This work able provide how polymeric material, annealing, affect membrane’s filtration performance resistance.

متن کاملNanopapers for organic solvent nanofiltration.
Would it not be nice to have an organic solvent nanofiltration membrane made from renewable resources that can be manufactured as simply as producing paper? Here the production of nanofiltration membranes made from nanocellulose by applying a papermaking process is demonstrated. Manufacture of the nanopapers was enabled by inducing flocculation of nanofibrils upon addition of trivalent ions.

The present work studied the application of membrane bioreactor (MBR) for tapioca wastewater processing that contained chemical oxygen demand (COD) ranging from 4000-9000 mg/L. A preliminary study was initially conducted in order to evaluate membrane performance with respect to its flux with MLSS concentration ranging from 4,500 to 10,500 mg/L. It was clear that fouling was observed during the ...
متن کاملNegatively charged polyethersulfone hollow fiber nanofiltration membrane for the removal of bisphenol A from wastewater
Removal of endocrine disrupting compound (viz., bisphenol A, BPA) by laboratoryfabricated hollow fiber polyethersulfone (PES) nanofiltration (NF) membranes have been investigated. The tailor made charged PES hollow fiber NF membranes have been developed by blending negatively charged surface modifying macromolecule (cSMM). It is resulted more than 90% removal of BPA, mainly due to negatively ch...

Integrally-skinned asymmetric Polyetherimide/Poly (vinyl alcohol) (PEI/PVA) hollow fber membranes for pervaporation dehydration were fabricated by non-solvent induced phase inversion. PVA inside the PEI matrix could be crosslinked to provide membrane performance stability during long term operation. The effects of different PEI/PVA blend ratio, external coagulant type and...
